Masterson’s Lounge, situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my most recent experience at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I encountered behind its entrance was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The State of Affairs: Grimy and Disregarded
From the moment I walked in , it was evident that upkeep was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of stale beer and dirty bathrooms permeated the entire establishment . Emitting a scent of a mixture of human waste, decay and illness . The main bar, which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and refuse that looked like it had been ignored for a long time .
